Fur farmers depend on vaccines to protect against diseases such as distemper, mink viral enteritis and botulism that are common on fur farms. We learned recently that Ceva Animal Health, who had been the main vaccine producer, is no longer producing vaccines for mink farmers in the U.S. That’s good news! We don’t know yet if U.S. fur farmers have found an alternate source for these important vaccines.
